Meek Mill’s ‘Championships’ Debuts At No. 1

Meek Mills Championships Debuts At No 1

Meek Mill is celebrating another win as Championships takes the top spot on the Billboard 200.

The Philly rapper’s fourth studio album debuts at No. 1 with 229,000 equivalent album units, of which 42,000 were traditional album sales.

Championships, Meek’s first album since his release from prison in April, marks his second chart-topper, following 2015’s Dreams Worth More Than Money, and his sixth consecutive top 10 effort.

Additionally, he earns his best streaming week ever (235.4 million on-demand audio streams) and his first top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 as “Going Bad” featuring Drake debuts at No. 6.

Lil Baby follows Meek at No. 2 with his highest-charting album Street Gossip. His third release of 2018 debuts with 88,000 equivalent album units (5,000 in album sales). Street Gossip follows October’s Drip Harder with Gunna (No. 4) and June’s solo effort Harder Than Ever (No. 3).

6ix9ine’s Dummy Boy moves to No. 3 with 83,000 units after its first full tracking week. The album debuted last week with only three days of tracking following its release on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Ski Mask the Slump God opens at No. 6 with his full-length debut Stokeley, which earned 51,000 equivalent album units (5,000 in album sales).

Elsewhere in the top 10 are Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack at No. 7 (48,000), followed by Travis Scott’s Astroworld at No. 8 (47,000).
