Listen to J. Cole's New Song 'Snow on tha Bluff'

J. Cole surprised fans today with the release of his new single, “Snow On Tha Bluff.” The track is a direct response to ongoing protests against police brutality and racial injustice, and specifically speaks to Cole’s struggles with navigating activism as a celebrity.

Some have even opted to properly use their platforms, to bring awareness to dirty cops murdering innocent black people.

In a self-produced track (with help from Kelvin Wooten), Dreamville Jermaine addresses everything mentioned above. It’s also in response to the criticism Noname has received over the past few years. She’s went to shed light on situations beyond Chicago.

This is the first time Cole has spoken out since the protests against police brutality and racial inequality. Last month, he attended a protest following the death of George Floyd in his hometown of Fayetteville.

While many are waiting for details for his long-awaited album, The Fall Off, this is just something Cole wanted to get off his chest for now. Look for details on the album to arrive later this year.
