With his return and the release of “Overtime,” Big Sean hinted that his new project may be the sequel to a fan favorite (we’re guessing Detroit 2, others say DSP 2). Regardless of which, or if its another, it seems good music is destined for the future as Sean appears to be in a better and clearer headspace.
“For the first time in my life I 100% believe in myself and that’s something I’m so happy I got to achieve in this lifetime. I think at one point I stopped having fun with life and it became a burden. It’s not suppose to feel like that and if it is then change it. I always would find so much joy n happiness in a relationship or being with friends, but I didn’t know how important it was to be in a relationship with yourself. But when you work on yourself and bring your best self to something, I believe that’s truly how to experience a love where you are bringing happiness and joy and not dependency. I’m in a great place though n don’t want to get too deep but I just want to share my journey with y’all…”
With that message serving as a promising light for Sean’s future both personally and musically, he decided to double up and treat fans to a second track this week, dubbed “Single Again.” Featuring vocals from Jhené Aiko & Ty Dolla $ign, the track also samples Carl Thomas’ “I Wish.”
Check out “Single Again” and let us know what you think.
