Lil Wayne Pays Homage To Xxxtentacion With “Don’t Cry” Performance On ‘Late Show’
Lil Wayne wants to guarantee that the late XXXTentacion’s legacy will never be lost on his fans. Lil Wayne brought Tha Carter V to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Wednesday night (Dec. 12).
The Young Money legend, who has sold over 100 million records worldwide, performed his XXXTentacion collaboration “Don’t Cry” for the first time on television.
“Put your hands in the air for the lost ones,” said DJ T.Lewis. “We’d like to dedicate this song to them.”
Dressed in a beanie and fur coat, Weezy delivered the powerful track while basked under red lights, giving a shoutout to the late X. “I want a triple extension on my motherfuckin’ afterlife,” he rapped. “Rest in paradise.”
Next up, Wayne will headline Rolling Loud in Los Angeles this weekend alongside Cardi B, Post Malone, and Lil Uzi Vert.
