Lil Nas X Unveils Debut New Album ‘Montero’

Lil Nas X has been the most controversial figure in the entertainment industry over the past months, recently, he took the stage at the just concluded BET Awards, performing his hit song “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” the performance drew backlash when he turned to a backup dancer on his left and making out with him in from of a televised audience.

However, when it comes to putting out bullies and online trolls, Lil Nas X does a perfect job of turning anything thrown at him into a job and having fun with it. 39-year-old singer Adam Lambert who also made out with a keyboard player on stage back in 2009, seemed to have enjoyed the moment more than anyone else, here is what he told Billboard about what he thought about then performance.

“I thought it was hot,” he says with a laugh. “I mean, he’s really giving it to us. I think he is definitely like the gay pop star that is 2021 — he’s bold, he’s controversial, he’s pushing boundaries. That’s what we want our pop stars to do. It’s just taken this long to have it be a gay one.”

In the wave of all the ongoing backlash he is facing, Lil Nas X has gone on to announce the arrival of his debut album titled ‘Montero,’ the release date and tracklist are yet to be made public. He shared a short video announcing the album with images from his previous hit tracks.

‘Montero’ the album will follow the pop stars 2019 debut Ep ‘7‘ which came after the release of his most successful song yet, ‘Old Town Road’. Check out the album trailer below.
