Getting to know music artist A MACO

Tell us about you:

Hello, my name is A MACO, and I am a rapper from Fairfax Virginia, representing the 703. And I’m 21 years old who has been for nearly 6 years now. Now I may be from the Suburbs of Northern Virginia, but don’t let that fool you. I am a young cat that can spit and not only does he spit, but he can also do so much more for the culture. I will make you regret not to work with me.

I’ve been in the rap game since I was 15, but music has been inside me since I could walk. Ever since high school, I have rapped at every event I could find trying to make a name for myself. When I was a kid, I took an instant like into music, but didn’t think of rapping until I heard Eminem and N.W.A. When I was 15, I formed a rap duo for my school classmates along with my friend Nick called “Rambeats”. I only started rapping for fun because everyone was doing it and I thought it would help him get girls. But everyone noticed how I could actually rap, and people told me that I should pursue it, and so I did. At the age of 16, I started to pursue a solo career, I started posting songs on my SoundCloud and perform at high school events.

I’ve has been trying to create new sounds that could bring something different for hip hop. And my upcoming projects will bring something new to the culture. I’m already building a huge fanbase across the DC area. Zo RDC, one of the DC booking agents called me “the hottest local artist to not be signed”. Jeremy Beaver, head of Listen Vision Studios and Hip Hop Museum in DC, nicknamed me once “El Shady”, like the Hispanic version of Eminem.

I have proven that if you keep perusing, even if people tell you your crazy for dreaming it, any thing is possible. Even if it means doing music for a genre that many people believe is dominated by blacks and whites. I want to show that hip hop should be diverse, as it use to be. My music mostly involves melody and rhythm flow, and flamboyant sped up flow, but I hoping to do more lyrical projects in the future.

My fanbase loves when I try different things as of right now, I am trying to combine go go music which is popular in DC, with trap music as I have so many projects that could put the DMV as the next Hip Hop Destination like NYC, ATL, or LA. I see myself in 5 years as a big artist that has Multiple platinum Albums and songs that charted and Starting my own big record label to help kids fulfill their dreams as I’ve fulfilled mine and hope to give back to the community and help kids with music and take care of my city.

I wanna accomplish being probably being the best DMV Artist. I wanna be remembered as a guy who didn’t ride a wave, but created one. I am serious about my career, I just need something that’s gonna jumpstart my career because I want people to listen to my stories, because that’s what my music is, it’s stories. That’s what my fans think I’m different than most rappers today, every song I do and release, tells stories. If you get this message, I hope you guys can give me a chance and please check me out for more content. And here are some of my unreleased tracks and my social media platforms.
