From Mississippi to the Mic the Story of Shaunn2xx

Growing up in Cleveland, Mississippi, music was more than just a backdrop for Keshaun Lindsey—it was practically the air he breathed. Before he ever rapped a single bar, he was glued to the world of beats, experimenting with sounds and rhythms on his own time. “I started out trying to make beats,” he says. “Eventually I got tired of that, so I started rapping. And when I found out I was good at it, I just kept going.”

That simple pivot—beating boredom by picking up the mic—sparked a journey that’s still unfolding. Now known as Shaunn2xx, Keshaun is carving out a space for himself as an artist with something real to say. But what sets him apart isn’t just his sound. It’s his story.

“I try to allow people to be in my shoes by telling my story,” he explains. “The route I took wasn’t the easiest. It’s already hard to make it in life without the best guidance, but I know that I help people get through certain situations.” There’s a raw honesty in his voice when he talks about struggle—not as a badge, but as proof that it’s possible to make it out the other side. “I give people hope that no matter where you come from or what you used to do, there’s still that chance that you can succeed in life.”

That message is at the heart of his upcoming album, “Struggle Made Me.” The title says it all. It’s a project born out of hard-won lessons and late nights, the kind of music that doesn’t shy away from pain but refuses to let it be the last word. The album is still in progress, but fans can expect it within the next couple of months. If the snippets and stories he’s been sharing are any indication, it’s set to be something special.

As for staying connected, you can find Keshaun on Instagram at @shaunn2xx1 and on Facebook at Keshaun Lindsey.

With every verse, Keshaun Lindsey is reminding listeners that where you start isn’t where you have to finish. And for anyone walking a tough road, his music might just be the signpost that says: keep going.
