Aneesa Badshaw, and I Rep Missisauga to the Bone. (Canada, GTA)

Host: Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?

Aneesa Badshaw: I just released a new song collaboration called “Whine Up Pon Mi” Ft. Savage Savo, which is a dancehall/soca fusion! Produced by SmokeShop Studios, Badshaw Records, and Savage Ent.

Host: What is unique about you and your music?

Aneesa Badshaw: I’d def say my style and sound is different than a lot of people, I love being EXTRA and LOUD mainly when it comes to fashion. Music wise, I love fusing different sounds together and not afraid of trying something new.

Host: What shaped your music?

Aneesa Badshaw: I would say Hiphop, RnB and Dancehall shaped my music.

Host: When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?

Aneesa Badshaw: I actually wanted to do music before even modeling, but I took it real serious 3 years ago.

Host: What type of music do you listen to?

Aneesa Badshaw: I’m into almost everything, but RNB and HipHop are my main jams. They resonate with me the most.

Host: What inspires you to write music?

Aneesa Badshaw: My life situations def inspire me and my team to write music.

Host: What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?

Aneesa Badshaw: Cooking! I love cooking, and gonna release a cooking show in the near future 🙂

Host: What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?

Aneesa Badshaw: When embarking on a musical journey, it would have been valuable to receive advice on navigating collaborations, particularly with established artists. One notable experience involved investing in a featured appearance from a respected rapper Zoey Formally known as ZOEY DOLLAZ which unfortunately resulted asdin a prolonged period of unfulfilled promises and communication challenges. Seeking clarity on the situation, I encountered repeated delays and unresponsiveness, despite assurances of a refund. This experience underscores the importance of establishing clear terms, communication expectations, and perhaps exploring contractual agreements to safeguard against such challenges in collaborative efforts.

Host: Tell us about your upcoming projects…

Aneesa Badshaw: I have an Ep/album coming out soon in the new year called “Rendezvous”. Which will be mainly collabs with other artist.

Host: Any last words for the readers?

Aneesa Badshaw: keep ya head up high, and focus on what truly makes you happy. Take Your dreams to reality.
