Unleashing his unique style and captivating audiences with his compelling lyrics, Sosasaint, an emerging artist representing west Marion in McDowell, North Carolina, is making waves in the music industry. In this exclusive interview, Sosasaint shares his journey, motivations, and upcoming projects, offering a glimpse into the mind of an artist on the rise.
Q: What is your name and what city do you rep?
A: My name is Sosasaint from McDowell, North Carolina, representing west Marion.
Q: What’s your most memorable moment of last year?
A: My most memorable moment from last year was when I did a showcase in Charlotte, North Carolina. I had a great experience, a great reaction from the crowd. I even went crowd surfing!
Q: What’s the meaning behind your latest track and its title?
A: The meaning behind my latest project, “I am Sosa,” is really just me showing both sides of myself—the versatility in my music and my craft, the pain, and the hard side.
Q: Any upcoming projects? That you can speak on…
A: I can’t really disclose any information on any upcoming projects, but I have so much in store, so many great things, and great features on the way. Along with more projects, singles, and visuals.
Q: What goals would you like to accomplish this year?
A: My goal this year is to focus on my consistency with my numbers alongside building my fan base and getting my name heard more in different areas outside of North Carolina and my hometown.
Q: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would that be?
A: If I had to collaborate with any artist, I would choose NoCap. I feel like we have similar things in common, and we could relay on a song real well.
Q: At the end of the day, all artists have something that drives them. What’s your daily motivation?
A: My daughter and my mom and the pain in my past life are my motivation to keep me going harder and harder. They are the reason why I love to do what I do.
Q: When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
A: I’ve always had a love for music. I’ve always had a fetish for music since I was a kid, from singing in church to just playing around, making my own songs. I realized I was going to take it seriously once I found my love for writing my own music.
Q: Any last words for the readers?
A: Keep God first, stay levelheaded, and don’t let anyone take away your dreams and visions. Always go hard behind yourself.
