My name is Desiree Monette from Texas but based in Atl.
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
My latest single releases “He knows” “Ice Cream” and “Diamond Sky” following my EP “Desire: To him” release date TBA. I was inspired by life and day to day struggles dealing with love and loss.
What is unique about you and your music?
My music is pop/rap laced with aesthetic moody undertones heavy bass and alternative.
What shaped your music?
I would say my mood shapes my music since emotions are ever changing so is my music you will always get a new feeling from me.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I realized I was going to make music professionally because I couldn’t go a day without thinking about it.
What type of music do you listen to?
I listen to every genre as long as it sounds good or I relate to it I am all ears.
What inspires you to write music?
Having a healthy outlet through tough times inspires me to write music.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
Besides music for fun I enjoy video games ps4 gang, I love acrylic landscape painting, I enjoy working out and reading.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Invest in yourself believe in yourself doing this will help navigate and inspire others to do the same for you and for themselves.
