What is your name and what city do you rep?
I go by the name of Keemy Coasta .. some call me “KC” some call me “Keem” & I’m from Moss Point, Mississippi same city that Phonix Sun’s Guard Devin Booker is from.. we graduated a year apart from the same highschool “Moss Point High School”
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
The latest release was his Album “Heartbreak Kid” in which came into fruition after sudden retirement from the military after 5 years of service and separation from a toxic relationship which followed with a phase of depression and uncertainty in which inspired this flawless project.. Most songs on this album are aimed at situations that caused pain and resentment within that time frame.
What is unique about you and your music?
Keemy Coasta Is multitalented, not only an artist but a war vet, barber, music producer & event coordinator. KC’s music Can relate to almost all walks of life. His music is respected by all
What shaped your music?
Keemy’s music was shaped from the community in which he resided.. Moss Point, MS despite his city being rumored to one of most violent cities on the MS Gulf Coast, Keemy found a way to proposer and beat the odds. He speaks on experiences from his Child Hood, Teen years and early adult life. He talks about how much his city moded him as Artist
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
KC was 15 years old when he first starting to record and mix and master his own music.. from that point he’s never stopped and recorded for many artist In his city & surrounded areas.
What type of music do you listen to?
He listens to Trap Rap, R&B, blues, country & pop.
What inspires you to write music?
pain or hardship is usually the source from most songs of Keemy’s catalog.. aside of watching some of his favorite artist thriving in the industry it motivates him to work & become better In hopes of working alongside them one day
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
Keemy is a very busy guy and is an overall creative genius that’s does it all. He’s currently in School pursuing a bachelors in Music Production out of Full Sail University in Orlando, Fl. At the Same time, he was enrolled in the Barbering Program at Biahop State University in which he graduated from in May of 2023, he is also the CEO of an promotion team in which he founded in early 2021 that was really successful thoughtout the coast of Mississippi 2021-2023. He has also started a YouTube journey under the name of “Behind the Mic TV” in which he wlll be in full pursue of in 202. So to answer your question, when keemy isn’t creating Music he’s doing tons of other things that keeps him pretty busy
Happiness to you is…
Being able to provide for his family is the base of his happiness , he puts his family first in everything that he does. Most of his successful has thrived from the idea of removing hardship from his family’s lives.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Show up & present yourself well in all rooms. No matter how small or big the opportunity is. Show up! Leave an impression and make sure they are able to find you. And last but not least Maintain relationships with those of equal value.

Keemy Is working on his 3rd Project entering 2024 in which will be in lyrical reflection of his hardships thoughout 2021-2023. It will include a totally enhanced cadence and flow, with hot beats produced by him and follow producers that’s apart of his musical network,
