What is your name and what city do you rep?
AztroGrizz, We rep Colorado. Evergreen and Denver
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
Man in Black was inspired because of all the outside noise happening, especially in the last couple years. A reminder to stay tapped within. Gotta Beat which was the release before MIB is much more playful! Telling folks what we’re about and why they should be a part of it.
What is unique about you guys and your music?
Melody with a message. It’s like a snack that people can’t get enough of and a mother in the back says “and it’s healthy for you!”
What shaped your music?
I have a special place in my art for all of our music. We used to be more like wild horses with free spirits. Then we met our producer Kenny. He made sure the spirit and soul of our music stayed strong but broke us so a much bigger audience could hop on and ride with us. Yep that’s a horse analogy about music…
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
It was never as much a realization that we were gonna do music professionally. The realization was more that music was gonna be a big part of our lives. It’s a big part of both of us and and no matter what the size of the audience is, we got something to say.
What type of music do you listen to?
Lewis-I-Am lives in the Hip Hop and R&B world. Grizzly John loves damn near all genres as long as the story and voice have power behind them.
What inspires you to write music?
So many different things. When the herd, or a big part of the herd is acting out in a strange way, that inspires emotions, that can inspire a song. Or if something’s going on closer to home, that invokes strong emotion, that can stir up a song. The mic can be our therapist
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
Lewis-I-Am enjoys his kids, that BMX life, or time in the gym. Grizzly John has a landscape design/build business as well and loves his time with family, skiing, hiking and all things in the rockies.
Happiness to you is…
Grizzly John- Could be as simple as coffee after a workout or watching my kids have an experience for the first time.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Quality over quantity. Get your music right first before you try to promote and get your name out there. 1 great song that took 2-4 years to get to is much more powerful than 40 sub par songs.
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
We’re about to fly back out to ATL to get cooking again but we have a new single called Slow and Steady coming out in April that’s about our music path and how we went about things at our pace and ignored the fast paced world around us.
Where do we find you music / music projects?
We are on all major platforms just make sure you come with the A-z. AztroGrizz Music Group is our YouTube channel to stay up on videos and new releases.
