Drake Set To Executive Produce Documentary On U.S. Veterans

For more than a decade, we have all come to know Drake as the music superstar who has dominated the charts year after year. However, we also know Drake as the former child star who appeared on Degrassi as Jimmy Brooks.

As the years have gone on, Drake has dived back into the world of television and film. He’s currently playing a role in the series, Top Boy. Not to mention, he’s also preparing for the release of HBO‘s Euphoria later this summer. To add to his growing list of projects, Drake has signed on to help executive produce a documentary about U.S. Military veterans.

Drake has signed on to executive produce the Showtime documentary, Ready For War. As reported by Deadline, he documentary will tackle topics such as PTSD and the hardships faced by immigrant soldiers once they return home.

Ready For War will also touch on the realities faced by soldiers who are deported or detained by ICE after they have completed their service. The project is led by Nick Boak and Andrew Renzi. Showtime has yet to announce when the documentary will premiere. In the meantime, Drake will turn his attention to Euphoria, starring Zendaya, which premieres June 16th.
