Lana D. is releasing her debut single ‘Pure Heart’, a combination of sultry vocals and spoken word to an urban Drake-type beat.
The song is an expression of her heart’s desire daily based on the scripture that says ,“Create in me a pure heart and renew the right spirit in me.” In Lana D’s own words: “I’m releasing this song first because it showcases a combination of the gifts that God has blessed me with through penmanship as well as lyrically and vocally. It’s meant to be a different vibe because God created each of us to be unique. That’s why part of the lyrics say, “I know it’s a little untraditional, but I serve a God that’s unconditional.” ‘Pure Heart’ is meant to be a reminder that her life belongs to God and she wants her motives to remain pure from start to finish so that God can continue to get the glory out of her life.
Lana D. is stepping out on faith to release a series of new singles including ‘Pure Heart,’ ‘God Is Good’ and ‘Obstacles’ throughout the month of May. We all know that 2020 was a rough year for pretty-much everyone and if it has taught us anything, it’s that we need God now more than ever. After the unexpected death of her little brother in 2019, who passed away in his 20’s, Lana D. has been working hard to live each day with purpose, since tomorrow isn’t promised. She started a foundation in New York State to provide grants to local youth in her community, with the first grant being awarded in 2019.
She believes that God blesses each of us to be a pass-through. She started the foundation to pay it forward and be a clear example of how “God blesses a cheerful giver”… just as he has been doing in her life and knows that those blessings can come in many different forms. She also hopes that people are blessed by the message in her music and that they’d learn to trust in God enough to give their hearts and lives to him to fulfill their purpose in the earth.
