Chance the Rapper Never Responded to Drake Draft Day Line

This weekend, Chance the Rapper was special guest on The Joe Budden Show, as they cleared the air on differences. The interview picked up around 30-minutes, when things got less tense on both sides; as Chano went to address rumors of being part of Kanye West’s Watch the Throne 2 album.

He went to re-iterate that it wasn’t him and is waiting, like the rest of the world, to find out who’ll be joining Yeezy on the effort. This segued into his collaborative G.O.O.D. Ass Job with Yeezy. He went to shockingly reveal that the two haven’t even started on the album.

The 79th rep said Kanye is still working on getting himself back together; including using the creative process of YANDHI as therapy. Chance was content with knowing that his brother is using methods to get his life on tract, which is really the most important thing.

Things continued into his history with Yeezy, including clearing up rumors that he was one of the rapper’s Drake mentioned that was there for the Wyoming recordings. While explaining how Drizzy and OVO Sound have been one of his biggest supporters over the last few years, he even mentioned how The Boy mentioned his name during the 2014 release of “Draft Day.”

Drake said, “And if I left this shit to chance, I would’ve picked a name like Chance the Rapper. Yeah, no offense, cause I don’t know that nigga.” Chance explained that he indeed took the line as a diss and said he couldn’t waste time using his creativity for a back-and-forth.

Chano felt honored that the 6-God mentioned him; but cited, he’ll never take any entertainment lines serious – due to his background in Chicago and being around real street situations. He hinted the two got on the phone and met up, which they eventually built a friendship through the business.
