Rising to prominence in the Afro-fusion realm over the past few years, Burna Boy is ready to take over the throne as delivers his fourth album, African Giant.
Exactly a year and a half removed from Outside, which featured the fan-favorite “Ye,” Burna looks to turn up the summer with his new album. Opening up about the album, Burna revealed his motivation behind the album.
“When it’s time for music to be made, it’s almost like my ancestors just come into me and then it’s them. Music is supposed to be a universal language. You understanding what I’m saying is secondary. The primary thing is what does the person inside of you hear? What does your spirit hear? That’s the job of music–that’s what it’s supposed to do.”
Led by “On The Low,” “Gbona,” “Dangote,” “Anybody” & “Pull Up,” Burna unleashes nineteen for our enjoyment calling on Jorja Smith, Zlatan, Jeremih, Damian Marley, YG, Future & more.
