After being released from Schuylkill County Prison and dropping his highly anticipated single “Longway,” which is doing amazingly well on Spotify and gaining traction with over 30,000+ streams organically with people from all over the United States gravitating to his music.
Skazz or Skazz Shabazz is forcing his way into the industry with his Future-Young Thug approach to his music; he says, “People can tell if your rap is not authentic, I don’t know they can just tell… I feel like people can relate to my music because it’s not cap and from the heart.” Skazz plans to release his debut EP ‘Overdue Pt 1’ in July and Album ‘Confidential’ around the ending of summer 2023, but he plans to drop a visual for “Opps Mad” late July.
“This song pretty much explains what people deal with in life far as opposition, haters and things that are in your path to being great. That’s the type of music I try to make, Music people can relate to, and become motivated by.
Skazz(Travis Bernard Jackson Jr) is originally from Brunson & Varnville, South Carolina, and he said his environment plays a part in his music as well. “Shoutout to my pain its only motivation, The Lowcountry is not always smiling faces and beautiful places. Most of the time we grew up around hate, drug dealers, and violence” we ain’t see nothing else.
If Skazz can keep his streams at a steady 30,000 a month like he’s already done he could have a platinum record on his hands.
