Today we sit down with Northern California’s up and coming artist/producer “TeoiLikeThis” to discuss about his latest single, upcoming projects, and more in-depth convo behind the music.
1.) Q: What is your name and what city do you rep?
As a producer I’m well known as TeoiLikeThis, but now as an artist I’m releasing under the name TiLT. I’m from Sacramento, Ca.
2.) Q: What’s your most memorable moment this year, so far?
My most memorable moment this year has been taking the initiative of recording my own songs and working to put together a body of work that will inspire others.
3.) Q: What’s the meaning behind your latest track “GAME”?
Before the music, I was an athlete & very competitive. My sport was basketball. As I got more into producing beats, I adapted elements for my love for the game and put that same energy into my music. The meaning behind my single “Game” is for anyone who can relate to any struggles, hardships, relationships & possibly motivate this who have a dream that seems out of reach.
4.) Q: Any upcoming projects?
That you can speak on… I actually have 3 that I’m currently working on, 2 are EPs. The first project I’m releasing is titled “Genesis” EP. But I decided to take my time, drop singles and build my buzz up as TiLT. I just feel that’s more ideal for my situation.
5.) Q: What goals would you like to accomplish this year?
For the rest of the year My goal is to release a single every 60 days. Maybe less. My supporters know my grind from producing beats, but I know by being consistent it will just show the hustle in my catalog.
6.) Q: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would that be?
Being a producer, I really can see myself collaborating with Artist/record producer Nav. Realistically, a dope artist to collaborate with for my style would be P-Lo.
7.) Q: At the end of the day, all artists have something that drives them. What’s your daily motivation?
My motivation comes from the thought of others enjoying the music that I put out. I don’t care about the money or the fame as my intentions are only genuine. I’m in this business to make music I love & see my fans and supporters grow with me on my journey.
8.) Q: When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I think it was when I was about 18, fresh out of High school my hoop dreams were coming to an end and I had to find something else I could be successful in. After joining the local Sacramento rap group Keepitsosolid is when the wheels started rolling for me as a producer.
Thank you again “TeoiLikeThis”, for taking the time to sit down with us. We appreciate the dedication to your craft and hope you continue to strive!
