Offset Opens His Next Solo Chapter With ‘Something I Need’

Published on September 19, 2026

Offset is back with “Something I Need,” a polished new single that pairs his clipped rap delivery with a darker, melodic edge.

Offset has released “Something I Need”, his latest solo single, through Motown Records. The track arrived September 18 and runs a compact two-and-a-half minutes, with Universal Music Canada presenting the release as the start of a new chapter for the Atlanta rapper.

Southside, Smatt Sertified and Jester Beats handle the production, building the record around a stripped-back but driving backdrop with a soulful vocal texture. Offset moves between luxury-minded bars and a more personal tone, keeping the song direct while leaning into the melodic side of his solo sound.

The release follows KIARI Deluxe, the expanded version of Offset’s 2025 album KIARI. That project extended a run that included “Bodies” with J.I.D, while other songs paired him with artists including Gunna, Key Glock and NBA YoungBoy.

The timing keeps Offset moving beyond the KIARI era without abandoning the more reflective approach that shaped that album. “Something I Need” blends that vulnerability with the confidence and rhythmic precision that have long defined his solo records, giving him a concise reset as he lines up more new music.
