2WIIN KINGZ: We never forget where we came from and what we’ve been through. Our life experiences shape our lyrics and influence our approach to songwriting. Our hope is that our pain and struggles resonate with others and inspire them.
Urban$ound: In what ways do you incorporate the five core fundamentals of Hip Hop—MC’ing, DJ’ing, Graffiti, B-Boy’ing, and Knowledge—into your music and overall artistic vision? What challenges did you face while transitioning from military life to pursuing a career in Hip Hop, and how did you overcome them?
2WIIN KINGZ: We live by the five fundamentals, which motivate us to create quality over quantity. The transition from military life to Hip Hop came with challenges, especially since respect earned in the service doesn’t automatically transfer to civilian life. We’ve had to earn our respect through our talent and sheer will. We won’t stop until our mission is complete.
