Who Got Next: Louisiana’s Krissosa Is The Future of Hip Hop!

Louisiana is a state known for its huge contribution to the hip hop community. From Lil Wayne to Boosie, the Pelican state has proven to produce great talent. Recently a newcomer has been gaining major attention for his wordplay and flow. Kristopher Genous, or better known as Krissosa is an independent artist from Vidalia, Louisiana.

Early on Krissosa lived in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of five he and his family would move to Mississippi and eventually settle in Louisiana. According to Krissosa, “Louisiana is where I experienced many firsts—my first girlfriend, my first fight, and even my first arrest.” Growing up, Krissosa experienced a lot while still young. Initially pursuing sports, Krissosa would go on to start rapping at the age of 18. “Music is my passion and my purpose” Kriss explains.

Already, Krissosa has built a solid fanbase both online and in the streets. With over 100,000 views on Instagram and TikTok, Krissosa is building his own wave! According to Kriss, “experiences have fueled my desire to grow further and expand my audience. I was influenced by artists like Chief Keef, G Herbo, Lil Wayne, Rich Homie Quan, Ludacris, T-Pain, and Eminem.” Although still young, Krissosa has a taste in music that reflects in his lyrics and delivery.
