The “What’s Cookin'” podcast is one hosted from New York City featuring Fabrice Felix, Michael Kolawole, and Taylor Ryan. Their platform allows upcoming entrepreneurs a chance to showcase their businesses and express their thoughts on their respective industry. They also invite financial professionals to come and educate the masses on the podcast.
Their platform has a backstory, it was when Breece known as Fabrice Felix, decided he wanted to start a podcast after a previous failed attempt with another friend. The idea to work with businesses sounded very innovative and creative. Nobody, from our knowledge is doing what they are.
Even though they are quite new, they are running for various upcoming competitions. Recently, Breece was nominated as finalist for the Haitian Who Blog. Hopefully, he is announced the winner on January 6th. With this comes many challenges, the biggest just growing their platform and being creative.
People tend to get bored by “business talk”, so their mission is to make it more relatable and as cool as possible, opposed to the serious and uptight notion everyone tends to think about. Most of their guests and young and educated on their respective industry so it helps a lot. Another challenge is building legitimacy with them, to be noticed by high profile guests.
Within a few years, they hope to see exponential growth in their platform, and motivate others to see the significance of what they are doing. They see many collaborations coming soon, especially with businesses, and hopefully massive sponsorships from huge companies.
