Paul Timothee was born in Palm Beach County, Florida to Haitian immigrants. After graduating in 2010 from Berkmar High School in Gwinnett County, Georgia, he joined the Army and served until 2015. A single father of two children, Paul also works as a truck driver but also has a passion for music which he hopes to use to motivate and uplift others through his Christian faith.
Le’ssur Lee Dawson (born in 2000) had a tumultuous upbringing; even though he was watched over by his mother and grandmother, Le’ssur lived out of hotels and motels and was often moved between homes and schools. Eventually his mother sent him to live with his father in New Bern North Carolina when Le’ssur was 15 years old, although the relationship between father and son is distant due to abuse, Le’ssur suffered at the hands of his father. It was during this time that Le’ssur met Khairi who introduced him to SSB; it wasn’t long before Le’ssur started writing songs in his notebook during this time which eventually turned into a SoundCloud page where he dropped music recorded on his phone. In 2020, Le’ssur signed a record deal with KickBoyz Entertainment after being discovered by Kickboy Triple.
Paul Timothee has achieved success both in terms of serving our country as well as beginning an impressive music career. Similarly, Le’ssur Dawson has managed to move out of an unfavorable environment, sign with KickBoyz Entertainment, release songs such as Made For This and Fresh Start on SoundCloud.
Paul Timothee AKA ItsYoFlow went through several tough periods throughout 2020 including going through a divorce, homelessness where he slept in both cars and trucks, surviving two deadly trucking accidents as well as visiting a cousin’s funeral for suicide – something which ItsYoFlow himself attempted five different times previously. Despite these challenges he still managed to maintain custody of his children.
Le’ssur faced various struggles during the year 2020; quitting his job to pursue music led him to sleep at studios during this time while failing to take advantage of support due to grieving for the lost of an auntie who passed away that year – other setbacks included losing jobs and friends as well as starting to lose himself emotionally until music became his only hope for escape; remaining focused on achieving dreams that were created in partnership with those closest inspired him further down this path.
Both Paul Timothee AKA ItsYoFlow & Le’ssur Lee Dawson AKA Le’ssur plan on dropping individual projects with hopes of raising awareness within their respective communities about their stories of skin in the game.
