When Jordan Brand revealed its Summer 2021 retro collection at the beginning of April, one of the most buzzed-about styles was the Air Jordan 7 “Flint.” First released in 2006, the “Flint” is one of the most popular non-OG colorways of Michael Jordan‘s seventh signature sneaker — and now official images have surfaced ahead of its first-ever retro release .

The “Flint” is made of two main materials: a rich gray suede that gives it its name and a premium white tumbled leather. The former material is used on the toebox, forefoot, quarter and collar detailing, while the latter is mainly used for textured overlays toward the front of the shoe before taking precedence on the heel.

Apart from this two-tone style, there’s also a healthy dose of “Varsity Purple” accents on this Air Jordan 7. These can be seen on the heel’s rubberized badge, the cut-out collar’s embroidered Jumpman logo, and the patterned tongue’s spellout graphic. Perforated neoprene throats work with white laces and white heel tabs to finalize the top half, while spiked midsoles and quad-colored outsoles with a large purple Jumpman round off the look.

Expect the Air Jordan 7 “Flint” to release in men’s ($190 USD) and kids ($140 USD) sizes via Nike SNKRS and retailers like Foot Locker come May 8.
