Swayzo’s musical journey began with a deep-seated passion for expression and a drive to fulfill his father’s dreams. Despite facing adversity, including a stint in federal prison, Swayzo found solace and purpose in music. “Music to me is a gateway to stay out of trouble along with pouring out the bottle,” he reflects. One of the biggest challenges Swayzo faced was the loss of his father while he was incarcerated, unable to attend the funeral. Yet, he persevered, keeping his head up and finding motivation in his daughter, Iylah, born during his time behind bars. “That’s a part of my motivation of doing something positive no matter if it’s hip-hop music,” he shares.
Looking ahead, Swayzo envisions success not just for himself, but for his family. “It’s not even about where I see myself because I know no matter what it’s go hard or go home with this music,” he says. His ultimate dream is to provide for his mother, seeing her in a big house with a picket fence and the Benz truck she’s always wanted, all thanks to his music career.
With an upcoming EP in the works featuring collaborations with Ohio’s hottest talents like Lil Eric Da Demon and Bankroll, Swayzo is poised to make waves in the industry. His goal is simple: to uplift the culture and inspire others to embrace authentic music. “Exposure throughout Ohio and for people to gravitate towards authentic music,” he emphasizes.
