Stream Eminem Kick Off Freestyle, Inspired by his new battle rap movie Bodied, Eminem unleashes a fiery new freestyle that clocks in over 10 minutes.
Shot at his “old stomping grounds” at The Shelter in the basement at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, Em intros his “Kick Off” freestyle by explaining why he loves battle rap.
“I’ve always looked at battle rap as a competition where the main objective is to destroy, completely fucking obliterate your opponent by saying anything and everything, whatever the fuck you can to get a reaction from the crowd,” says Marshall Mathers. “So nothing’s off limits.”
He then launches into a series of raps about the terrorist bombing outside Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert, Justin Bieber, and his competition.
“Someone’s gonna challenge me, who? / Battle me and win / That’s a fu**ing fallacy too / You name one motherfu**er in this galaxy,” he says before literally spitting on the floor.
The Detroit rapper serves as producer of the Joseph Kahn-directed Bodied, which is now available on YouTube Premium and in select theaters.
The freestyle follows the August release of his surprise album Kamikaze, which became his ninth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
