"Spin" Marks HoodTrophy Bino's Triumphant Return After Devastating Tour Accident

Los Angeles based rapper hoodtrophy bino releases new single and video for “Spin” from. “Spin” is the 13th track from Bino’s upcoming album Chosen Few, and carries more weight than ever after a life-altering event. While filming the music video for “Spin” while on tour with Bravo The Bagchaser in Arizona last month, Bino was in a harrowing dune buggy accident that left him with a crushed arm and “compartment syndrome,” where he lost 65% of his forearm muscle.

Reflecting on the accident, Bino shares, “I was driving an ATV and later the Dune Buggy. I was trying to “spin” to match the lyrics in the song and the Dune Buggy flipped over and landed on my left arm. We were out of cell phone range – if my very strong security guard was not with us I would probably not be here. He was able to run to me and lift the Dune Buggy (over 1500 lbs.), with help from my brother and two others, off my arm.”

“Spin” captures Bino’s unique flow as he raps over an infectious melody, with lyrics that resonate even deeper now: “We gon’ spin it… spin it… spin it… till they gone.” In Bino’s own words, “They say your life can change in an instant, and it’s true. I’m forever grateful to my family and friends who saved my life and continue to support me. I believe I was chosen to live, and I’m working to understand how I can live better and give back to my community.”

HoodTrophy Bino just toured with Bravo the Bagchaser & Soulja Boy’s. Having broken free from the struggles of gang life and poverty, Bino remains true to his roots while carving out a new path for himself. His journey is captured in the documentary The HoodTrophy Bino Story: Breaking the Generational Curse, which has earned over 61 awards in the film festival circuit this year.
