Originally from Accra, Ghana, YK grew up immersed in music in south east London, where his brothers worked as prominent grime producers and MCs. With more than 12 years dedicated to music, he excels in future bass and R&B while also creating in jersey club, garage, and house styles. Key influences include Kanye, Timbaland, and Tupac, shaping a blend he describes as future and hip hop. Notable milestones encompass placements on Soulection and Darker Than Wax, plus an Amsterdam tour with friends.
