Showtimetwon: The Rising Star from Purcellville, Virginia

In the heart of Loudoun County, Virginia, a new voice is echoing through the streets. Meet Showtimetwon, the 540 area code’s latest export making waves in the music industry. This young producer, rapper, and influencer is not just creating music – he’s building a movement.
Born and raised in Purcellville, Showtimetwon’s journey to stardom began with humble beginnings. Despite his small-town roots, he always had big dreams. “I was always taught you reap what you sow, so whatever you put into the world will come back to you,” he reflects. This philosophy has guided his path, from his early days as a high school student raising over $60,000 for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to his current status as a rising artist.
Showtimetwon‘s music career ignited with his 2020 single “Heart of Gold.” The song’s release coincided with his senior year of high school and quickly gained traction, earning him recognition in Richmond and beyond. “If you have a dream, do it, and follow it. Spread positivity because it will come back to you,” he advises, echoing the message of his breakout hit.
•     “My heart and soul remains in my hometown
•    Mama told me go play in the streets it’s time to grow now.
•    Put on a show now got a heart of gold now
•    They’re looking at me like a cash cow I got the throne now”.
Symbolizing a lot of people looked up to me and saw me as a role model who always did the right things and was discipline. Showtimetwon stated.

As the youngin always thought highly of myself and confident that I was destined for greatness many people you meet along the way will not like that you are happy and try to sabotage it however, if you know who you are, it will not affect you.

Balancing academics and athletics with his burgeoning music career, Showtimetwon proved his dedication and work ethic. As a college athlete, his days were filled with early morning lifts, classes, practices, and homework. “For those who are unaware, being a College athlete is much like a full-time job. Your whole week is laid out for you and consists of early morning lifts, school all day, practice, homework, sleep and repeat. We had little rest and no days off. Constant work and striving to get better every day.” Showtimetwon mentioned.
However, Showtimetwon’s days were even busier, not only was he going through his workouts and school and everyday routine, but every weekend he was also driving up to Loudoun County to collaborate and get Studio time in to hone his unique sound with (F1 Nick) who is a well known Producer who has produce songs with. (Leo Amari)  (Ant3x)  & (Noodah).

Showtimetwon’s drive and passion for music were so strong that he was willing to use any time possible just to create music and develop his one-of-a-kind idiosyncratic sound – sometimes he wouldn’t get back on campus till 1 a.m. having workouts at 6 a.m. He would continue to make music, drop videos snippets of new music and create plenty of connections within the music industry.

That sound is what sets Showtimetwon apart. He seamlessly blends genres, transitioning from hard-hitting hip hop to melodic tracks infused with samples from loved ones who have supported him along the way. His lyrics focus on themes of growth, risk-taking, and the importance of faith. “I try to make a difference for the people because they listen,” he explains. “I show them that their dreams can come true because that ain’t really fiction.” in “Heart of Gold”.
Showtimetwon‘s music has resonated with listeners from California, Florida, to New York, and even as far as Kenya. His song “2AM” from the album “Space Cadet” inspired dancers in Kenya to create a video mix. “I’m glad you don’t feel like you have to talk about drugs and gunplay in order to be ‘hot,’” says Coach Bray, a mentor who has witnessed Showtimetwon’s development. “You bring mad charismatic energy to the table, and you create a fun atmosphere with your music… definitely unique because you’ve always loved music and you don’t sway from who you are!” Coach Bray also mentioned.
Despite the challenges of navigating the competitive music industry, Showtimetwon remains focused on his goals. “In a few years, I see myself on stage, performing in front of 200 to 1000 people, spreading love to the community,” he envisions. “I live a rockstar life, so many people won’t understand what I’m doing.”
•As he mentions in his song, “ROCKSTAR LIFE” in his Album “SPACE CADET” July 13, 2024

•    “Living my life on the edge”

and

•    “I’m a rebel like I’m Thunderstruck
•    My energy contagious you wish
•    You could have my talent but shii I’m Brian”

Indicating there is no one like him by using an intricate analogy of a movie from 2012, “Thunderstruck”. A movie with Kevin Durant NBA, a kid who is a fan steals his talent from him at a basketball game and he magically acquires the abilities of his hero.

Breakdown analysis:
•    Everything is going to come at you for a reason to see if you can handle it, some people are not the main character in your story, so elevate your game, body, and mind, and the Lord will send you the one who you’re supposed to be with. People who branch off those are the leaf people.
