Emerging rap artist DiddyRocket, hailing from Camden, NJ, is thrilled to announce the release of his new EP, marking a significant milestone in his musical journey. The 22-year-old artist, who started rapping during his sophomore year of college, has quickly gained recognition for his unique style and authentic storytelling.
DiddyRocket‘s entry into the rap scene was catalyzed by his friends Martello and Playboy, who encouraged him to explore his talent. Despite initially focusing on sports during high school, DiddyRocket often found himself urged to rap due to his striking image. It wasn’t until he met his first producer, @Jujusaan, that he began to take his rap career seriously. Their immediate chemistry set the stage for DiddyRocket’s musical evolution.
The turning point in his career came with his collaboration with his second producer, the late @Indo2x. Although their relationship began with a simple beat purchase, it quickly blossomed into a dynamic partnership. Indo2x’s encouragement and the tragic loss of both Indo2x and DiddyRocket’s stepmother profoundly influenced the creation of his debut EP, “Turnpike Pirate Vol. 1.”
“Turnpike Pirate Vol. 1,” released last year, was a testament to DiddyRocket’s resilience and artistic growth. The EP received acclaim for its diverse rap styles, seamlessly blending laid-back flows with high-energy tracks like “Planet Jerk.” The project highlighted his ability to balance his “rockstar” persona with a grounded, personal touch, resonating with a broad audience.
DiddyRocket draws inspiration from his friends, especially @hellsentxo and Indo2x. Their rising fame and support fueled his ambition to push boundaries and continuously improve his craft. “My biggest goal with this EP collection is to showcase how much I’ve progressed over the past year, not just to my fans, but to my entire city,” he explains.
With his new EP, DiddyRocket aims to honor the legacy of Indo2x and his stepmother, while also demonstrating his evolution as an artist. The project is expected to feature a mix of introspective lyrics and vibrant beats, reflecting his journey and the diverse experiences that shape his music.
