RackzOutBenji Announces Gritty and Emotional New Project Deceived, Dropping August 1

Lafayette, Louisiana’s own RackzOutBenji is stepping out of the shadows and back into the spotlight with his highly anticipated new release, Deceived, arriving August 1, 2025. Far more than just a mixtape or album, Deceived is a raw and reflective journey through trauma, growth, betrayal, and survival—told straight from the heart of an artist who’s lived every lyric.

“I took time away from music to live, to grow, to go through things that would shape me not just as an artist, but as a man,” says RackzOutBenji. “This project is uncut. It’s my pain, my reality, my truth.”

Tracks like “P4M” and “Anybody” dive into emotional isolation and deep-rooted trust issues, while “Jungle”, “Creatures”, and “Gunsmoke Town” pull you directly into the streets of Louisiana, where the stakes are high and survival is everything. The soundscape is emotional, ambient, melodic, and street all at once—showing a side of Louisiana hip-hop that’s often overlooked.

And while comparisons to YoungBoy Never Broke Again are inevitable, RackzOutBenji is quick to make one thing clear: “One of my biggest icks is when people assume every artist out of Louisiana is tryna sound like YoungBoy. Don’t get me wrong—he made a mark, but I’m carving my own lane.”

He’s not chasing a sound—he’s creating a movement.

With influences that include NoCap, Kevin Gates, JayDaYoungan, and Rich Homie Quan, RackzOutBenji brings a melodic pain-music approach that is entirely his own. His voice is vulnerable yet powerful, his bars unfiltered yet calculated, and his mission clear: to redefine what it means to be an artist from the South.

“I’m not the next YoungBoy—I’m the first RackzOutBenji.”

Dream Features: Ydtheillest, JayDaYoungan, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Rylo Rodriguez
