Nike Unveils The SB x Air Jordan 1 Low “Midnight Navy”

An official look at the Eric Koston-designed sneaker.

Teased earlier this year, Nike unveils official images and release details around the upcoming SB x Air Jordan 1 Low “Midnight Navy.” Designed in partnership with Eric Koston, the colorway pays homage to one of the first pairs of SB’s worn by skateboarder Gino Iannucci over 20 years ago.

Koston recalls the white/navy colorblocking and Zoom Air sockliner, which he integrated in this current iteration, along with his signature along the inner tongue label. As AJ1’s were primarily worn by skaters prior to launch of the SB, the duo also decided to include elements of the basketball sneaker, like the Jumpman logo on the vamp for Jordan brand’s forthcoming 35th anniversary.

The unique positioning of the design makes it always visible to the wearer, reminding them of the shoe’s origins. The initial crossover between the iconic basketball and skate shoes occurred in 2014 by Lance Mountain and most recently with two colorways of the high-top model.

This Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low “Midnight Navy” will be releasing on June 17th at 10am at Nike.com, with a price tag of $110 USD. For more upcoming drops, check out our roundup of the best releases happening this week.
