Ashley-Renee Santiago, better known by her stage name AR Santiago, was born on July 25, 1993, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States. The musician draws influence from pop and soul music to write songs that are unique for the public to listen to and enjoy. According to the artist, she doesn’t sound anything like any other musician or artist in the music industry because of his unique tone, style, and delivery. AR has always been greatly influenced by music since childhood.

She first developed an interest in creating music by playing with different instruments when she was around 4 or 5 years old. While she was playing the instruments, she would even sing lines from other musicians she had been listening to, which led to the birth of something creative and motivating. She would often watch TV after school, listen to musicians, and take inspiration. His all-time favorite musicians are Beyoncé and Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson’s stage presence was something AR grew up admiring.

His charisma, way of delivery, fashion, lyrics, music combined with dance moves made with way ahead of the game during the 90s era. Similarly, Beyoncé’s personality, charismatic voice, and lyrics opened his eyes to the music industry. After witnessing MJ and Beyoncé perform, AR was inspired to pursue a career in music as a result.

She draws inspiration from musicians that have always been very original in their approach to songwriting, and this has helped her become an original person who writes songs you’ve never heard before. AR loves to write songs. She has written songs alongside B Hess who placed with Bridgette Kelly/Eric Bellinger/Luke James, etc.

Also, she has written & placed w/ Nick Grant, Poplord who gave her, the opportunity to write for Usher, and Summerella just to name a few. In the future, AR plans to go on a worldwide tour and promote his songs along with his upcoming mini EP called “Sad Girl Hours” coming this 2022.
