Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, who is currently serving out his federal prison sentence, was recently pictured with his girlfriend Jade in a photo that has since circulated online.
In December, the rapper — whose real name is Daniel Hernandez — was sentenced to two years in prison, 13 months of which had already been served at the time, after he pleaded guilty to charges that included racketeering, illegal firearms possession, and aiding in an attempted murder.
Prior to his cooperation, Tekashi 6ix9ine faced 47 years in prison.
On Tuesday, Manhattan federal court judge Paul Engelmayer shot down a request that the rainbow-haired rapper be transferred from a prison facility to confinement at home, saying the move would undermine his intentions at sentencing.
In a short ruling, Engelmayer said the two-year sentence he’d imposed on Tekashi was meant to “reflect the seriousness of his crimes.”
Engelmayer had also ruled that Hernandez must complete 300 hours of community service and pay a $35,000 fine.
