New Balance’s 2002R GORE-TEX Surfaces in “Black Coffee”

New Balance’s 2002R continues to be one of the sportswear giant’s most successful footwear silhouettes as it has amassed an outdoor-oriented and street-friendly audience – especially when it comes to the GORE-TEX model. Now to kick off the year, New Balance has tossed its 2002R GORE-TEX in “Black Coffee.”

Although you can’t actually drink it, the shoe serves as the perfect way to kick off fall/winter morning – alongside your real cup of Joe. The new colorway appears in deep natural shades of black coffee, stoneware and sandstone for an Earthy aesthetic. The black coffee hues encompass the majority of the shoe – spanning the toe guard, quarters and heel. The lighter shades appear across the mesh toe, other parts of the upper and the midsole.

Additionally, the new colorway continues the silhouette’s usage of rugged, yet water-resistant designs and fabrics. Elsewhere on the shoe are New Balance’s signature ABZORB midsole and ABZORB SBS pods. Aside from this model, last month a first look was revealed at the forthcoming JJJJound x New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX.
