By the time Mont’e was seven, he was “already learning and singing gospel, rap, hip-hop, and R&B”. By age 12, the already multi-talented Mont’e learned to write music with the help of his mother, Betty Wright, who sang the 1972 smash hit “Clean Up Woman” and his aunt, Yvonne Jackson, who toured with BB King and Bo Diddley back in the 90s.
Known by the aliases Kid RockStar and King of Diamonds, Mont’e quickly built up his skills in the music world as well as a passion for the world of business.
Today, the mogul/artist has an endorsement deal with Quiet Storm Vodka, founded the Betty Wright Foundation in honor of his mother, and gained over 1 million streams across just three songs on Spotify alone. This includes his hit single “Sally” which has accrued over 4 million streams in under five months across all streaming platforms.
