St. Louis native Don’te has been captivating audiences with his vulnerable subject matter and lyrical ability, especially with his latest release, “Bad Bitch Roll Call.” From his authentic sound and catchy rhythm and tempo, Don’te Denero is sure to make waves onto the scene with his sound, with subject matters ranging from honesty, love, and toxicity. All with a powerful flow and lyrical content.
With a unique sound that is diverse but undefinable, with a hint of what sounds like Lil Wayne and the rest being solely Don’te Denero, Don’te executes each track flawlessly. His most meaningful song, “Crashout,” off his last project, Traumatized, reflects just that, his aptitude as a rapper and an artist.
Don’te has been making music since he was twelve years old. It is evident from his dedication to the craft. That this isn’t just for recognition, this is a vocation, a calling for him. From having his mother and brother pass back to back in the same year, Don’te feels like it’s time for him to make his mark, not only for his love of music but his mom and late brother featured on Don’te Denero’s single “Crashout.”
“Crashout” came into existence after Don’te lost his mother in a car crash, using that song as a cathartic way of grieving and expressing their emotions. The track is a very sentimental song, yet “Crashout” has this bass and beat that make the tempo fast, and the track sound makes the song more of a sorrowful anthem than anything else.
While Don’te Denero has been proving himself as a rapper and lyricist, he has been establishing himself as a videographer as well. Don’te has been shooting videos for himself and other artists all over the St. Louis area, be sure to check them out on his Youtube page @NeroTv314.
