Soul music has been on a recent uprise; with artists like Tems and H.E.R, R&B/Soul is seeing more and more new talent. One of the most notable newcomers is a singer named Harmonet. Originally from New York, Harmonet relocated to Atlanta, GA at only nine years old. Growing up a preacher’s kid, Harmonet was no stranger to using her many gifts within the church and continued to do so throughout her years in school.
After graduating from the illustrious North Carolina A&T University, Harmonet began to explore the many avenues her talents would carry her. The inspiration for her debut single “Everyday”, came when she found herself in a 2 year emotional and physically abusive relationship. Harmonet found herself at a crossroad, to self destruct and let life pass by or to find her inner strength and move in purpose. Isolation, Prayer, Meditation, Surrendering and Acceptance are pillars she now lives by that keeps her grounded as she continues through this journey.
