The rapper performed three joints off his album.
Meek Mill made his Saturday Night Live debut as a musical guest yesterday, January 26. He performed “Going Bad” alongside a pair of dancers busting moves in catsuits.
The artist also invited Fabolous onstage to serve “Uptown Vibes“. The title track of his recently released LP was also given the live television treatment. View the Championships performances clips below.
Championships marked Meek Mill’s return, the first offering following his last prison stint. He was released from the joint in April 2018 and managed to drop the project in November of that same year.
Meek’s fierce comeback is also qualified by his passion for prison reform and the efforts he has unleashed. On January 23rd, the Reform Alliance was launched as a collaborative initiative with Jay-Z.
The pair’s criminal justice organization is aiming to change the “illogical laws that make no sense” in addition to reducing “the number of people affected by parole and probation law by 1 million over the next five years.”

Mills’ fight against “outdated laws that perpetuate injustice, starting with probation and parole,” is a personal battle. His 2017 arrest stemmed from a probation violation in relation to a case that led to his imprisonment at the age of 19. Meek is now 31-years-old and looking forward to being freed from the residuals of his teenage misstep.
