Feb 26, 2021, 22:25pm EST — We weren’t expecting this one, but Freddie Gibbs is covering Gil Scott-Heron‘s “Winter In America” for a single off the upcoming Black History Always – Music For The Movement Vol. 2 EP.
The project will be out tonight at midnight and is the second installment between The Undefeated (ESPN) and Hollywood Records. The EP features new versions of historically significant records, including the original song.
Other songs on there include Brent Faiyaz “Eden,” Tinashe‘s cover of “I’m Ever Woman” by Chaka Khan and more. Sounds like a dope project that should have some nice tracks.
