Hailing from the small town of Tyler, Texas, Levispill has been carving out his unique space in the music world since late 2018. Initially drawn to the glamour and lifestyle of famous musicians, Levispill’s early inspirations revolved around the allure of success and the benefits that come with it. However, as time passed, his perspective shifted, and his passion for music grew deeper, leading him to focus on the artistry and creativity of the craft itself.
On the production side, Levispill’s journey was heavily influenced by his close friend and collaborator, imnotindigo. Watching imnotindigo produce music over the years sparked a desire in Levispill to take full control of his own sound, pushing him towards independence. This drive led him to explore and blend various genres, with his work mainly hovering around Trap, Cloud Rap, and Ambient Electronic. Levispill has a knack for fusing complex synth melodies with heavy 808 trap drums, creating a sound that’s both intricate and powerful. His vocal style is a unique blend, channeling the auto-tune vibes of artists like Pi’erre Bourne and Lil Uzi Vert.
While Levispill can play multiple instruments, his creative tools of choice have become the keyboard and mouse. His musical journey began with guitars, an instrument that dominated much of his life before he transitioned into producing. Along the way, he also picked up the piano and keyboard, further enriching his musical palette.
When it comes to influences, Levispill’s sound is shaped by a diverse range of artists. ICYTWAT, Pi’erre Bourne, old-school Gucci Mane, Chris Travis, Black Smurf, Baby Smoove, and the iconic Texas Chopped n Screwed style all leave their mark on his music.
Though his experience in the music industry is still growing, Levispill has already amassed a wide discography, including six projects, two of which are full-length albums: Synthetics and Synthetics Deluxe. These albums were co-produced with imnotindigo, who also collaborated with Levispill on the NONAME [EP]. Each project has been a valuable learning experience for him, helping to refine his sound and expand his skills.
A pivotal moment in Levispill’s career came on an otherwise ordinary night. At his brother’s suggestion, he attended a local show that, while small, was buzzing with energy. It was here that he met several new artists and began networking, marking a significant turning point in his musical journey.
Currently, Levispill is wrapping up his latest album, Plugged in K3YZ, a collaborative project with highK3YZ that took over four months to complete. Levispill not only produced all the beats but also handled the mixing and mastering, showcasing his multifaceted talent. Simultaneously, he’s working on an EP with producer MAGSMP3 and gearing up for the release of his first solo tape.
With more singles on the horizon, featuring a variety of artists, Levispill is steadily building momentum. His journey from Tyler, TX to the broader music landscape is just beginning, but with each project, he continues to define his place in the industry, driven by a passion for creating and a desire to connect with others through his music.
