Hailing from Cleveland star athlete turned entrepreneur Legend Miv! Recently, he became the official personal chef for NFL cornerback Rasul Douglas. Legend Miv grew up on the East side of Cleveland and took a liking to food at the young age of 10, where he spent time cooking alongside his mother. Miv began professionally cooking at the age of 22 for numerous NFL players across the country, where he believes that cooking is an outlet to showcase his creativity.
Miv and Douglas met through a mutual friend and began communicating regularly. They quickly began forming a relationship through playing PlayStation to even helping each other through adversity. “Rasul is one of the most genuine people I have ever met in my life,” he said. Adding that he respects his character and that God “placed up in each other’s lives for a reason.” In January 2022, Miv became the official chef for Rasul, further solidifying their relationship.
Miv opened his first restaurant Momo in which his signature “Lela” sauce is a hit. His famous Lela sauce is a sweet and tangy barbeque sauce that hooks customers after their first visit. “The name Lela came from a character’s name in a book I was writing because I’ve always been a writer,” he said. “I have a few books I’m working on now. I named the sauce after the character because she was a creation of mine, just like the sauce.”
