LALO has released his brand new album ‘Blacked Out Red Room‘. This new 7 track EP was created after LALO was inspired when he watched the show Euphoria, it’s metaphors and meanings, he wanted to create an EP which made him feel the same way. Inspired by artists such as $uicideboy$ and The Everly Brothers, LALO wanted to create music that conveyed his life and struggles, with the Red Room in the title referring to a torture room.
“Blacked Out Red Room” showcases itself as a collection of stories that are connected and carried by that cold, windy feeling with songs that share the personal, yet universal, stories about love, loss, loneliness, dependence, and inner strength. Thoroughly crafted lyrics poetically penetrate the psychology of the mind, human desires, and flaws. The tracks draws listeners in with its light, feathery and dreamy vocals.
Online LALO has been slowly growing and improving with his social media presence. On Spotify LALO has gained 12,000 streams on his song I’m Angry, and on Instagram he has 1200 followers which shows that he has a strong fan presence online.
The 23 year old artist is described as alternative Hip Hop and has been quoted: “Hip-hop has always been about speaking truth through fiction and hyperbole. LALO embraces the concept, to great effect. Paranormal themes arise throughout his records” – (Static Dive, Smith, 2019). We can’t wait to see what he comes out with next!
