Lai Ram Ceu, Sharing his Story through Music

Lai Ram Ceu, better known as King Lai, is an Asian-American rapper, singer, composer, and businessman. “The Plan” ft. KT6 is King Lai’s most recent endeavor. The new track is engineered by Blasty from Rocko Y Blasty, who are most known for their song “Besitos de Calores,” which debuted at #10 on Billboard in 2016.

Born July 18, 1998 in Chin State, Myanmar; Lai Ram Ceu immigrated to the United States with his family to escape religious persecution. Later in life, he attended United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois, and subsequently, Black Hawk College. While attending school, the first generation American King Lai, founded Hlah Thun LLC, a real estate investment firm based in the Quad Cities. Shortly after, the young businessman dropped out of college to fully focus on his new-found company while dabbling in music. One of his company’s most recent purchases is a 24-unit apartment next to the high school he attended. This moment is the inspiration of his new song “The Plan.”

King Lai wants to share his stories through his music in hopes he can inspire other people born in poverty or going through hard times. He wants everyone to know if he can go from village to privilege, then anyone can. King Lai‘s most recent accomplishment in the music scene is that he was nominated as “New Artist of The Year” at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards hosted by Chintube in Indianapolis, IN.
