Kudaa Gives Listeners an inside Look at Latest incredible project "Together We Wonder What’s Next"

Kudaa knows how to put together a performance.  The Indio, California native has been hitting his hometown’s music festival (one you might have heard before called Coachella) since 2015, so needless to say he knows about the art of music and performance from seeing it all firsthand.  He’s brought all that plus his own love of music into his own creations, and it’s culminated in his incredible EP together we wonder what’s next.

Sonically, Kudaa’s latest body of work reflects his lifelong music taste.  He’s been listening to everything from “Basket Case” by Green Day to songs from Alvin and the Chipmunks since he was in elementary school.  His EP’s six songs each took inspiration from different artists that have come and gone in his rotation over the years.

“Each song really had an inspiration from an artist even though I never want to essentially copy an artist,” said Kudaa.  “I found myself bumping certain people during the making of certain songs and made it into my own.”

So, that means if you’re looking for something that sonically resembles Mac Miller and Slowthai, take a listen to “SUMMER” on together we wonder what’s next, but if you’re on the hunt for something a little more intense, then “YDOUH8ME?” — which seeks inspiration from Death Grips and JPEGMAFIA — may be the track for you.

It’s pretty much clear that regardless of taste, Kudaa has most likely got a song that will fit your rotation.  Lyrically, he touches on just about everything, making the project have an even wider appeal to all different types of audiences.

“I speak upon heartbreak, being angry, figuring myself out, being lost and a lot of mental things,” said Kudaa.  “Though I also just wanted to talk some sh*t [and] have fun rapping, I tried my best to balance that and I know some of the bars I wrote for fun will be misinterpreted but it just makes me laugh.”

To top things off, Kudaa produced and engineered the entirety of together we wonder what’s next himself.  It wasn’t “an ego thing” he says, but rather something that he wanted to keep under his own wing and see where he could take it himself.

“I know it’s not perfect, but that’s sort of what I love about it,” said Kudaa.  “I learned as I went, and I used different techniques with some songs that came later, which was a pain in the ass to work around because I would realize that when I came back to songs.”

“But I think I love the progress throughout all of it,” he added.

It’s full steam ahead for Kudaa.  He played his first show in April with BluVarity and has a solo show on June 10.  He’s just dropped “DEVILWEARSPRADA” and he’s got another single coming on June 8 titled “KUDAA01A (eyes on me).”  You won’t be wondering what’s next with this up and coming rap sensation for long.
