James Deale aka Da G.O.C Shares His Story

James R. Deale also known as Da G.O.C was born and raised in Washington, DC. He is the CEO of MDM ent llc. and is a full fledged entrepreneur with a huge passion, one of the most influential in Washington in fact. Being released from prison recently, with a 10 year sentence for running an interstate foreign commerce, which federal authorities deemed the biggest weapon and drug bust in recent Washington DC history.

With a little more information on this, the case was based around an unconstitutional operation that Federal authorities used nationwide in between the years of 2007 and 2010. This called a “Reverse Sting” which was later deemed unconstitutional to stage fictitious life changing and once in a lifetime criminal acts to the lower class minority, poverty stricken, returning citizens , that fail under federal scrutiny for whatever reasons. In James’ case, they staged a fictitious record label that led to a year long investigation. It is something to be highlighted because they used music to entrap Da G.O.C. Federal agents even received gold and platinum plaques at the end of the investigation.

In 2012 HipHopWeekly dropped a behind bars issue where they highlighted the case on their opening page. A few years later, judges in California ruled it unconstitutional and released men from all over the country. James had grounds to get his case overturned and retried but the non-cooperation cop he had really couldn’t get any better, so he brought his time to the door and vowed to return home and make them same platinum and gold plaques that were passed out in the celebration of his incarceration.

Da G.O.C never considered himself a rapper and still doesn’t. Music was therapeutic for him, and it was the only place he felt safe to say what was on his heart. He had trust issues! His music is raw, it’s not fabricated. He speaks from personal experience, and really has core relationships with the people in the streets that are being affected, and fighting for equal opportunity. Still, after being sentenced and serving 10 years in 9 different federal facilities at the age of 25, he was still able to come out in the heat of the pandemic and not just start but sustain multiple businesses. After returning home at age of 35, he still has the real men and fans in the street waiting on his music. In between generations and time, things changed, new generations. This led to the signing of Young Jose, one of DC’s hottest up and coming, young rappers.

Like many, he’s faced many challenges, one of the biggest challenges to him would be the pros and cons of the business in the music industry. He learned what he knew at a great price, releasing he had to pay for a projects funds two times. Although he’s had challenges he’s had way more accomplishments like establishing MDM Ent. LLC, shooting a video with Young Jose and 300 Ent. artist OMB Peezy in Atlanta, Georgia. The video now currently has over 150K streams. He has also accumulated chances to perform all around and perform with some major musicians to this day.

His goal is to broadcast his story and promote his brand internationally. His first complete album “Operation Man” is scheduled to be released on his birthday 2-21-2023. Sixteen tracks of raw music, major features, and he’s not chasing popularity. All his features are with artists less established or in the same boats as himself. He wouldn’t pay for a feature for himself, but we can always do business because he’s a businessman but his aim is to help and uplift my up and coming generation not to join the popularity contest.
