Jacob Sinawi, A.K.A Big Juicy, is an independent rapper from the Eastside of Detroit. Big Juicy has been interested in music from an early age but did not start developing his rapping skills until his college years, freestyling at Michigan State University parties. He is primarily intrigued by old-school hip-hop, taking inspiration from some of the greatest rappers such as Tupac and Biggie.
Big Juicy prefers to work with Detroit-based engineers in order to get a more authentic “Detroit” sound. Although he does not produce his own music, he writes all of his verses without co-authors. To date, one of his greatest achievements as a musician is selling out a 500+ person venue.
Juicy’s single “Supersized”, featuring John Penman and Kevin Hues, has enjoyed success. Garnering 10,000+ streams over several platforms, “Supersized” gives the listener a refreshing experience. Providing the listener with a fresh melodic beat paired with witty lyrics, it is no surprise that “Supersized” stays on repeat.
Juicy James, Big Juicy’s freshman album, is an eight-track album that provides the listener with a similar freshness as “Supersized”. Juicy James is packed with old-school hip-hop-inspired tracts as well as a few newer sounds.
