Mar 03, 2021, 05:14am EST — Though he’s been popping up on remixes since the end of last year and he’s following up his Colores album, J Balvin is ready for more.
Debuting “Ma G” at the Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildirim’s fight in Miami this past weekend, the Colombian reggaetonero shares the video as well. Live from Balvin’s hometown of el Barrio Castilla in Bogotá, he’s in meetings and posted up in front of the Lambo with his crew.
“Ma’ G” is set to appear on Balvin’s forthcoming COLORES followup, but a title and release date are yet to be announced. He’s currently in the running for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2021 GRAMMYs for “Un Dia (One Day)” with Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny & Tainy.
Prior to Colores, J Balvin teamed up with Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny for the joint LP Oasis, an eight-track effort that went eight times Platinum (RIAA Latin) thanks to roughly 500,000 album equivalent units sold.
The past couple of years has also seen Balvin contributing to songs in multiple genres, including Dua Lupa’s “Un Dia (One Day)” Sech’s “Relación (Remix),” 24kGoldn’s “Mood (Remix),” and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Spicy (Remix).”
