Born James Porter III and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, he absorbed most of his love for music from his father Rev. James Porter Jr. a once lead singer and 14 different instrumentalist. and grandfather Dr. Rev. James Porter Sr. It was once his grandfather decided to let him and his friends start doing Chrisitan Hip-Hop that Afro Preachah found his true love for music and the microphone. Since then, specifically since graduating, Afro Preachah has relocated to St. Paul, Minnesota which has remained his homebase ever since.
The travels don’t end there though by any means, flying all the way across the globe to the nation of China where a respectable number of his fans are, especially since his visit.
