Henry Wood, better known as Yung Hen is a talented and independent artist from Pleasant Hill, California. Yung Hen started his career by rapping in the early years of his childhood and was able to remember his most popular rap songs. As he entered high school, he started writing songs for himself. He attended college for a short period but realized it wasn’t his path. He decided that it was the right time to make his goals real and began to work on his music. He started recording in his home studio and hasn’t been able to progress into recording studios alongside other highly regarded musicians. He believes that will be coming this year.

In his career, he’s faced a variety of difficulties and has faced mental health issues that are serious such as Bipolar, ADHS, chronic depression, and anxiety. Throughout his entire life, it has been a struggle to find the drive to continue his journey. However, he has been able to turn to music as a means to deal with his issues and feelings. Through his struggles, he also has had amazing achievements, like gaining more than 10,000 listeners per month on Spotify and more than 200,000 streams across all his platforms.

Yung Hen is a plethora of inspirations in his career as an artist however his main musical influence is XXXTENTACION. He is convinced that every song XXXTENTACION is touched turns into gold because of his versatility and ability to communicate his own. Yung Hen hopes that he will one day be a role model for other artists, just like XXXTENTACION has been for him.

Yung Hen is working in the studio every day and is planning to record five songs in the coming month, and at least one music video due before the end of July. Huge summer coming with plans that include an album and music video due out on the 1st of August. The song is a remix of a classic nursery rhyme that will awe his fans.
